HOW TO GET TO CINQUE TERRE

The Cinque Terre territory is characterized by high hills overlooking the sea, for that reason streets are narrow, steep and with lots of curves. There are limited places to park cars and the centre of the town centres are closed to private traffic. For all these reasons train is best option to reach Cinque Terre: Sestri Levante - La Spezia line with intermediate stops in all towns.

The car in the Cinque Terre is of no use: limited parking spaces and all for a fee. A12 highway: La Spezia exit. It is recommended to leave the car in La Spezia and continue by train.

The closest airports are Cristoforo Colombo in Genoa and Galileo Galilei in Pisa. You can continue to Riomaggiore and Corniglia by train.
